The Suite Life of Zack & Cody is an
Emmy Award nominated
American children's television series that airs on the
Disney Channel. This
Disney Channel Original Series premiered on
March 18,
2005, and was one of the first five shows available on the
iTunes Store. In the October 2007 issue of
Disney Adventures magazine, Disney announced that the filming of the show had been completed and that all of the sets had been torn down.
The series stars
Dylan and Cole Sprouse. They play
Cody and
Zack Martin,
identical twins, whose
single mother,
Carey, is the headlining singer at the
Tipton Hotel. Now they live in a five-star hotel in
Boston as a provision of her contract. The series has spawned two video games: one for the
Nintendo DS entitled
The Suite Life of Zack & Cody: Tipton Trouble" and a titular release for the
Game Boy Advance. The show was originally called
The Suite Life, which is co-created by
Danny Kallis, who was a writer, producer, and director for the TV series,
Smart Guy; and Jim Geoghan, who was a writer and producer for the TV series,
Family Matters.
The series is the third Disney Channel Original to have more than 65 episodes, the first being
That's So Raven and the second being
Kim Possible. The show also airs on Saturday mornings on
ABC.
